Hello, I have a problem with my boat and hope someone can help, the motor wont start reliably, it will only start and run in a few spots, if you try and start it with the motor in the wrong spot the motor acts like a steeper motor, each time i pull the trigger it will advance a small amount, if you repeatably pull the trigger until it gets to the right spot it will start and run normally until you stop, the motor also seems to be getting quite warm, just testing on the bench, new motor.

How many pole and kv is the motor, and what voltage are you running it on?
There is a Startup option in the ESC, with options of Soft Start, Standard, and Fast Start. You can try playing with that. Motor may want a Fast Start setting. -
