Need 12 volts to run two water pumps.

I need 12 volts to run two water pumps.( pumps are 400mA @ 12V each)

The boat is a twin Cat , 8S to each motor.

I want to wire the output of two of these in series to get 12 Volts.

What will I also need to do this ( caps, diodes Etc.), and How.

Many ways to skin a cat. I would use a regulator with the voltage you want. This one for example.

I also run the Pololu regulators to power my pumps. My pumps are very small and barely pull any power so I run them off the receiver power battery. For larger pumps I would run the regulator off the primary lipos.

The pumps draw less the 1/2 amp each under load.
But I still like the idea of a separate regulator for them.
