The stock setup is a brushed motor, right? Could be the motor, or it could be the ESC. Does the motor still spin freely by hand? Does it have an odor? Are both motor wires securely connected to the ESC? Did it suddenly stop working while you were running the boat, or just stopped one day when you tried to run it?

Yes it is a brushed motor. Motor does spin freely..no odor, yes on the wires being connected. Had it at idle in the water waiting for wake to pass, then prop would not work.

Hard to say for sure. The ESC still gets power, because it's powering your receiver and servo battery, but that's not to say it couldn't have failed on the motor output side. I'll see if I still have the stock ESC from my boat. I converted my to a brushless setup. If I can find it, you can have it for the cost of shipping.
