    Castle creations ESC

    Has anybody used/have any experience with the castle creations speed controllers I know they don't make marine esc's anymore but i have read that a lot of people are using surface esc's in there boats I am looking for a 240 amp continues or more with a 300 amp plus burst any suggestions ?

    There are lots of threads on Castle controllers, use the search function. Many are using the Mamba XLX (IIRC) with the fan. I convert air controllers to water cooling for my own use, some will convert them for others. The Castle 200 amp air controllers were the same as their 240 amp boat controllers, the extra cooling allowed the uprating. It isn’t really the amps which hurt a controller, it is the heat. None of the Castles would be good for 300 amps continuous.

      Thanks I will look up some contacts on here who might be interested in setting me up with a conversion from air/fan cooled castle creation esc to water cooled I live in Prescott Valley......

        Started my insurance agency @ the corner of Robert and Spouse back in '99, but transferred back to Phoenix a year later. Are you allowed to run at the Yavapai lake park?

          I run my electric at Goldwater Lake it's located 10 minutes above Prescott real good lake to test not sure if that's the lake you are meaning

            I'm late to this, but I'm very much interested in lending a hand on the conversion. kfxguy and I were actually talking about making conversion kits, but then Swordfish announced their new ESCs.

            I machine my own aluminum and carbon parts. If you could provide specs, I can make it as a fun project.
