I just finished this new ESC power pack. I’m going to start using this as a common part in my other boats. I integrated the Cap Bank unto the CF ESC Mount, available from OSE. I cut copper rails to form electrical buses. Each one is two pieces soldered together to form 0.150” thick strips, will carry 200A easily. The Battery Input wires for the ESC are soldered directly to the buses. The only connectors in the system are the Castle 8mm bullets soldered directly to the buses. The battery wires then connect directly to the bullets on the bus bars. I’m using two, 4s, Turnigy 5000mah batteries which can be wires in Series for 8s or in parallel for 4s. I’m going to start checking out how my hydro works on 4s, for possible P Sport racing next year. This setup should have the lowest losses of anything I’ve built to date! Looking forward to the first run this weekend!
Oh, the mount rails are attached by 2mm socket head screws so I can easily remove the module and change ESC or caps. The rails glue into the boat. One of the pics has the rails removed, so you can see the bus bars better.
