Safety Margin for ESCs

So how much margin in amps is nominal for running in a boat? For instance, if the motor is rated to 100 amps, is a 120A ESC enough margin or is it netter to go to 150A or 160A ESC?
Plan on using a TP Power 3640/2100 KV. 4S
