EVX/EVX2 questions

Can you run the evx/evx2 with one battery? I have heard that you can run a 2s on the BEC side and some run 3s on the other side.
I would like to run a 3s on the BEC side and a jumper on the other side. Can i do this? Or run a 2s on the BEC side and 1s on the other side?
