    Hobby King 40A ESC

Like usual HobbyKing is useless to provide the information on a product they carry and sell. I have this ESC, and in the specs it says it's timing is programmable, item: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._w_3A_BEC.html

When I ask their "product specialist" how to program the timing they have no info, no manual, no guides, and refuse to even state who manufactures this item. Does anyone know who makes it and which if any programming card works of where the manual may be found?

    Thank you in advance.

if you have it hooked up in your boat and turn on TX, then the boat rx (or plug in main packs if using bec) does it make any chimes?

If so, when you shut off your TX (leaving mains in boat turned on) does the chime change?

If it does it could be a suppo esc.

Try checking ebay for similar esc's and general on line searches to see if there is something out there.

Thank you, but that's not the manual. I called them and they don't even make a 40A ESC.

            It beeps yes.

Transmitter off: Connect ESC, it does 4 beeps a Beep-Beep!-Beep-Beep! Beep is lower tone, Beep! is higher tone.

Transmitter turned off and ESC still connected no sounds.

            No difference. Any ideas?

I figured it out. Thanks! Apparently it's a HK clone and their programming card works.

Not sure but the HK programming works that are for the HK brand ESC's. So whoever makes the HK ESC's this seems to be a clone of them too. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...C_3A_UBEC.html

Update: The HK programming card didn't work after all. Stupid HK reps said it would. Will be ok at factory default then.
