Looking to build a Cap Pack. Axial versus Radial caps

Has anyone tried using Axial capacitors for their bank? It seems like you could line up the polarity and glue them together side by side. No need for a piece of circuit board. Then solder each lead directly to your power wires and heat shrink. It does look like the selection is more limited but there are still some 1000uf 35v 105* models out there. I am wondering if there is a inherit reason no one uses them.

Here is a picture of some Panasonic I found-

Radial or axial there is no difference. There is one other thing to be aware of, be sure to use low ESR capacitor. Look for ZLH designation in Rubycon's product line. Not sure on other mfg.

Thanks. That would be the problem with the axial models as I can't find any with the low ESR designation. Apparently the type of install that uses axial caps is no longer being used so manufactures are basically doing away with them. I think they would be really straight forward to use in a cap bank but I don't want to risk using the wrong type.
