Old style Hydra 240Hv ?

Were these any good or was it a 50/50 chance they work, this is the one with the white heat shrink cover.
What are they worth in never used condition? Just wondering as I jumped on a deal last night at $80. Did I make the right choice

Anything used is always a gamble, but I would have taken a chance one for $80. Hope it shows up in working order!
