seaking 180 vs 200 swordfish

    seaking 180 vs 200 swordfish

    any one have an opinion on these im using a 4082 1500kv leopard on a spartan and plan on 6s so which is a better esc for this application?

    IF,you choose to go with the Seaking, you'll want to use an external BEC if running 6s battery power.

    That's pretty much an excepted rule of thumb if using more than 4s battery power with most of the marine ESC's including the Seakings.

    I don't know enough about Swordfish ESC's to comment one way or another. They're website is here... http://www.hifei.com/#!esc-for-racing-boat/c1day

      I'd prefer a seaking 180.

        Agreed!! -- I've had great luck with Seakings (60A & 90A) & Turnigy clones (120A & T180) of them - all are version-2's.

        FYI: Turnigy T180 is exactly the same as Seaking 180-V2, see attached (in case you cannot find a Seaking)

        Mine came with the external cap bank & works perfect with HobbyWing program box - exact same options as Seakings.

          Club members who tried Swordfish all had problems and almost none of the ESCs are still working. OTOH everyone who tried the T180s has had excellent luck, both 4S and 6S.
