    Potting an ESC

    Team,
I have a new Swordfish Pro 220A ESC. Ia an initial treament, I was going to remove th shrink wrap, and encapsulate it in a a 2 part urethane potting compound.
Here is the question: Should I leave a way to get to the capacitors? How often to they blow out?
(The Swordfish pro 300 has the caps inside of the case)
Has anyone had good luck with any particular urethane potting compound?
Cheetah, Super Rio, (Mod) Starship (Mod and sold),

3M DP270 is the gold standard for potting the entire thing.

Just be aware any potting compound will help hold heat in, make unrepairable and void the warranty.
I use Silicone Conformal Coating for electronics.

Why doesnt everyone just use corrosion-x? I squirted down my castle 240 with it 2 months ago. a month later stuffed my rigger at 90mph. un-strapped batterty went thru hatch. boat floated straight-up for 10 minutes. Took everything out of boat. 2 hours later, squirted esc again. let sit draining over-nite. worked fine.
