Ok I'm running a Phoenix lite pro 200.. but I can only run 6s... looking to step it up just a hair to 7s or 8s.. The Swordfish 240 pro.. can it hold up to the Phoenix? Just need a little advice on these two ESC's
Dont have alot of advice on an ESC for you since I dont know the application/hull etc.......................... but to answer your Swordfish question, it is a very good ESC as i have ran several in LARGE hulls on 10s2p.
I'm not familiar with the Phoenix Lite prop, i treid looking it up to see the specs but could only find a lite 200 series good for 6s, and lite 200 for 8s, is that it?

Run what? I don't know anyone who runs a Phoenix 200 lite in SAW applications. Several including myself run the ICE Lite 200s or EDGE Liet 200s for SAW though. They are good for up to 8S. The experiences of all my fellow club members who have used them tell me to steer clear of the Swordfish controllers (excluding the 240, haven't seen one). I know others say the Swordfish line is great - but that's not what I have seen with my own eyes. YMMV.

I have had a couple failures with SF, but they were earlier models. The new 240 Pro+HV II with the dual cooling tubes has been awesome to me for the past couple mos. Logging 230-240 amps peak with a steady 200+ constant regularly, and have logged as much as 275 amps peak. She hasn't skipped a beat, and hasn't gotten over 145 deg I don't think.

What kind of boat do you have it in and how many cells are you running?

The "Lite" versions are de-rated from the "normal" ICE/EDGE Lite controllers due to cooling. The only difference is the heat sink on the normal version. In fact the Hydra ICE 240 was the same controller too, just water cooled. When water cooled the Lite is fine to 8S too.

The Phoenix ICE Lite 200 can be ran on 8s? It says 6s max?
