    Large Heat Shrink For ESC!

    Hey guys.

    I am trying to find Heat Shrink for my large ESC. Schulze 40/161. I need something in the 4" range, Clear and kind of rubbery thick. I tried to google it and came up with nothing. Any Help out there?

    I think I know of a place but it is waaay across town from me, not far out of the way on a working day. I could check in the next couple days. I got some pretty wide stuff there before Howard. Does it need to be the heavy duty stuff?

      Steven has some that is 3 5/8" wide - http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...s-shrink-3.62c

      If that isn't wide enough there is decent variaty on eBay;

      4.4" wide - http://www.ebay.com/itm/112mm-4-4-Cl...item5190343e5b

      Here is some that is almost 5" - http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLEAR-4-96-1...item2a3a5fa54c

      I just re-read your post, I am not sure this stuff is thick enough for what you want.

          Is that Sayal Electronics? There is one close to me too. The links Mike lists may do for Howard but, that stuff may be the thinner harder PVC heatshrink as compared to Sayal that sell the thick more rubbery type stuff that Schulze uses or close to it.

          Sayal sells Polyolefin (rubbery) heat shrink in 3ft or 4ft lengths I think and it doesn't shrink tons like the thin battery stuff does.

          Might be more, search by Polyolefin

                Howard,

                I buy mine from Newark electronics. You need 3" ID shrink, preferably Polyolefin. The only downside is they sell the stuff in packs of 2x- 4foot lengths at $75.

                    Kris,

                    So long as I remember to bring it yes. Usually I leave that type of stuff at home. Remind me before the event. Here is the link Howard: http://www.newark.com/webapp/wcs/sto...&storeId=10194

                        Yes, but now you can repair your Schulze's or Figthercat ESC's for a while.

                          What are the advantages of this thicker expensive stuff vs. the thinner PVC stuff? Is there something that I am missing?

                          Thanks,

                            I don't think so. I use PVC when I have nothing else.
