I watercool the ICE200s in many of my boats and they perform line the Hydras.

Jay, we discussed this yesterday and I agree, but this one on sale is the Ice not the Ice2 right? So, just need to note the voltage difference. The ice had an 8s limit, while the ice2 had a 12s limit. As I recall the "ice" controllers are pretty old as the "ice2" have been around for awhile. Not saying it is bad, just don't want someone to get confused and buy the "ice" and then try and run it 10s.

Might want to investigate the outfit but you never know. Dropping a full line has brought Castle into question on a few forums. Somebody could just want to recoup their $$$

This is interesting. ...it's a scam

Electric Off-Road - Traxxas RC Hobby Store? - Anyone here dealt with Traxxas RC Hobby Store? Prices are unreal but only do Western Union or Wire Transfer and only send goods by Best Way. They have paypal/visa etc. pic down the bottom of the screen but is dull.

        Hey,
I looked closer and the specs are different as well. The Marine Ice 2 handles:
        12S (50.4V) (ICE 2)

The one on sale which is the "air" version handles only:
        34 volts (8s) (ICE)
I listed that because they update all the time :)

Man Terry, you guys really push controllers hard in the P-Limited classes.

          Hope you find some replacements.

Nope, there is no voltage difference between the ICE HV and the ICE HV2. The "2" simply denotes the second version of the ICE HV. They got a lot of bad parts in the original version, so replaced them all with controllers having the "2" designation. All were high voltage "HV" 12S controllers. The non-HV ICE controllers are limited to 8S. It is confusing without a score card.

They were all Q and up boats on the HV's. I don't usually bother with an HV for Q but I submerged my Alien for a half hour. They love that. The Alien ran pretty well too. Dougie won P mono with it.

Been a rough season for me and speedos. The hydra were 5 plus years old but the totals are staggering.

              (3) Castle HV200
              (2) Castle Hydra 120 old style
              (2) Castle Hydra 240 old style
              (1) Alien 8s250

The old hydra were total thermal nuclear failures. One literally blew the canopy off my boat.

Haven't had this many failures since the early Hacker77/Barracuda80 days. Maybe 8 years ago.

Throw in a pile of motor failures and I've been wrench'n non stop it seems.

I took out an Ice 240's and a 200HV's the first two races of the year. All involved getting wet. Not Castles fault.

So far the Swordfish controllers are holding up in my P-Mono and S-Hydro.
