Wiring Etti E 035 cap module to Etti 150 amp OPTO esc?

Hi all purchased a Etti 150 amp esc c/w cap module. Cap module does not have install instructions i was informed from a previous thread the cap module is installed in the battery power leads . The esc leads are 10 ga wire which i solder with a 100w iron but i would not feel confortable using 100w iron to solder to cap board. How is this done properly? Can the cap board be remotley mounted away from esc or does it have to be close by ? Pictures or diagrams of installs would also be great. Im very dissapointed with the seller for lack off information with the huge amount off cash i payed . Regards Andris Golts.

Andrew, a little late here (just stumbled on to your inquiry) but this might help (not sure which ETTI cap module you have, but you used the word "board" so I'm assuming you mean the one I use).

Conventional wisdom suggests that it's best to install the caps as close to the ESC as possible. Here's two ways I've done it - one on a CC Hydra 240 ( I removed the insulating shrink wrap for the picture)and another on a T-180 where I scratched the insulation off the TOP + and - traces and carefully soldered the wires to the board and insulated with brush-on insulation goo ( isolated/insulated the bottom of the board with some G-10 to keep it from shorting on the top of the ESC). I agree a 100W iron is risky; a 40W pencil tip would be the way to go. Hope this helps.

Hi not sure how ur esc is but I just purchase sf300pro and cap bank no instruction but I went to hifei.com and accessories and cap banks and there a picture of it installed I caint even get my wires hot enough ro solder and have 180watt gun man I never used to have trouble maybe need new tip. Anyway I was wondering if one cap bank is enough as 300 has 2 red and 2 blacks hope u dont mind me asking as I saw u were inquiring like me
