    prblem with Turnigy 180a

I just installed the esc, it worked fine. I plugged the battery in and now it jurks the motor hard for just a split second and the red LED light flashes on the bottom at the same time. The rutter works fine. No beeps at start up, just the jurk and light. What do you guys think?

Did you run the setup with your transmitter?

Mine just did the same - total throttle and wind down. In my case it was LVC set incorrectly as I was using a Turnigy program card for my truck ESC and the values differ from the marine esc.

I get no beeps, so how did you fix the problem?

Yes, initially it worked fine. ESC beeped accordingly and motor ran, rutter worked. Now only rutter works. no start up beeps, just the red LED while the motor jurks what seems like full throttle for just a split second.

Sounds exactly like my issue. I used the same Turnigy program card to set the values as follows: 1:1, 2:1, 3:4, 4:5. Those are default values, but they worked and I'm now tweaking value 4 to try and find the best timing for the stock motor. Installing a leopard motor as soon as it gets here and will need to re-program, but the default values did work for stock.

No, the ESC was connected 1 day ago. I powered everything up just to test, everything ran fine. I spun the motor at very low speed for 20seconds. Then shut it down, to complete intallation. after everything was zip tied in place I ran into the problem. I'll post a picture.

How can I reprogram when the esc doesn't beep during start up anymore?

I've just had a developement. I double tapped the power connecter (by mistake) when connecting it and the red LED light has gone off the motor is no longer jurking on and off and istead of a red LED it is now green. I still have no initial beeps and the throttle is not working.

Nobody else? I have searched for hours online and this forum for any scraps of info but I'm not finding much help.

What can cause an ESC not to beep when power is connected. Green light on bottom of esc is on and rutter works fine.
