    Help Identifying Castle ESC

I got this Castle ESC with a tunnel that's probably a few years old. I have no idea what this is and was hoping I could pick your brains so I know what I'm dealing with.
    Thanks,
    Corey

    Corey,
That's an old Barracuda 80 with my cooling plates added. Not a bad ESC for it's time.

      Thanks for the info.....
Brian, I'm pretty darn new at this, is it safe to run a UL1 motor with this ESC?
That's really about as far as I plan to push it in this boat (AQ Top Speed 2)
      Appreciate your input!

      Thanks!

It should be fine, but you need to run an external BEC or Rx battery. The BEC circuit is limited to 3S and wouldn't like the current draw from an outboard steering servo anyway. keep it to a 42x55 prop.
