    Can a 60 amp esc with a etti cap board handle 5s

    I have a 60 amp aquacraft esc with a etti cap board, i was woundering how many cells i can run?
    Thanks for any input you can offer.

    the tower hobbies site states 4S with or 8-20V without BEC, the LVC won't work so watch your runs.
    do you already own the ESC? there are many different ones that can handle 5S.

        The only problem with the 8-20v rating is that 5s fully charged is 21v

          yeah, it's not a good idea to run 5S on that
          you could get the fightercat 140A esc for only 85$, not too bad and VERY reliable, they have been run at 150A no problems.
