    Question about a turnigy 80amp hv esc

    Can any one tell me what this small black wire is for on the turnigy hv 80 amp?

    Is this resistor for an external cap bank?First time ive seen one like that. The speed control has two reciever plugs too???

          X-factor is a gonner. According to these threads they are for an anti-spark arrestor.

            Great stuff. No one really answer what lead it gets soldered to though. One thought it doesn't matter, but I was thinking it would have to go to + to complete the curcuit. What's your take on the baked?

              If it looks like the one on this picture it is antispark wire with resistor and it gets connected to the battery negative before the main negative wire gets connected. Concidering red was connected first.
