Hyperion 610iNET: update USB to Serial (update advice)

I tried configuring a USB to serial I have for the update. Computer and software recognize COM3....
Software when I say go does not communicate with the Charger. Any Help out there?

All of the Hyperion chargers that I've updated have had a mini USB port on the side. Does that model have something different like a 3.5mm or DB9 serial connection?

Ah, okay. That makes sense. Well, assuming you're wired up correctly at the charger port side of things, try going into your PC's Device Manager, finding the serial adapter, and reassigning it to another com port. Also, have you tried both "Interface Type" options in the Hyperion software?

Tried it all. I am going to have to assume I have the wrong Serial connector. I wired it as said but it won't connect to the charger. The Port is no problem. It opens.
Can't send the data. Are all Serial adapters the same? I am using one from another something I had. (no idea but I have a bunch from long lost chargers and Controllers) Maybe it hates windows 10?

After the cable from the charger is plugged into the computer.
The computer searches for the connection. (usually shows Com3)
In the popup box that say's Com3
You have to click on it or a yes box or something to agree that is the port that you want to use.
