I need to mount a battery lead connector block using a Hifei capacitor mount board for parallel connections. The Hifei board would be sandwiched between two layers of CF plate with the ESC battery leads soldered to the Hifei board on the underside and the 8mm battery bullets mounted on top. Should I perhaps wrap the edges of the Hifei board in insulation tape as I am concerned that CF plate may be electrically conductive in a high amperage situation.
Carbon fibre plate, is it conductive?

Carbon fiber is a semi conductor. This is why CF hulls need to have an external antenna.
Use Fiberglass or DelrinCheetah, Super Rio, (Mod) Starship (Mod and sold), -
Many thanks. This is the connector board that I intend using https://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pr...d=hef-h%230007
I had hoped to insulate the edge of the board with insulating tape. I do not feel that fibreglass plate would have sufficient strength to support the board. The terminals will not be going directly into the CF plate but the plate would surround the Hifei board.Comment

typically, I avoid connectors whenever I can, as they add resistance to the circuit.
I doubt you need them.
I integrate my cap bank into my battery wires.
Here is all you need to know about cap bank design.

Many thanks. In reality, the Hifei board is more an interface between the battery connections (two each side of the motor) and the four connecting wires on the Hifei 300 amp ESC.Comment
