According to the spec it should work well. However, the testing I was involved with found that products containing silver for the conductive medium did not meet the published spec more than 50% of the time. Some good points made in the article. There is a caution that would apply to our use. That is arcs through silicon grease creates silicon carbide particles in the grease which is very hard and abrasive. This would increase wear on the contacts.
As far as the silver filled grease, the only way to truly know is to test it.
Now if there was a SAFE way to use mercury in the contact area. That would be very close to a soldered connection, maybe better.
