    Bump!

I'm getting ready to order from Revo and was wondering how these do vs. the 427s and also the weight thing. Their website shows the same or less weight for the 5800 mah 435s vs. the 5500 427s.

Turbo, if its not urgent for you-- wait for the Graphite Oxide Revo's to come out. It should be any day now.

They are the same just have some sort of coating. I've had a few 5800's get squishy whereas the 5500's haven't. I usually charge to full voltage. I need to start charging a little less on new 5800's to see if I get the same result.

kfxguy, don't the new graphite ones have less IR, higher discharge by 10c, safer, etc? Seems like a big enough difference.

But anyway, why would they get squishy? especially lipo's that aren't even that old, etc.

I'm not sure why they got squishy. Bad batch. I dunno. I've had three develop a bad cell. Not sure why. I think I did drop one and one was exposed to salt water. The other one I dunno.

The graphenes are supposed to be the bees knees. They accept higher charge rates and are tougher withstanding hard discharges. I'm trying to talk John into letting me be a tester for future batteries he puts out, I haven't got an answer yet.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Yes, I can wait. No big deal. Haven't heard about any new ones.

O btw, the graphenes are supposed to be available in three weeks. I'm waiting on them to be released so I can sell off what I have and get those.

I've had a couple get "squishy" too.. Overall love these things. They hold out way better than my spc and smc packs.. Can't wait for graphenes.

Are you guys saying the regular Revo's get squishy and result in bad performance?

How does "squishy" packs = bad packs... Maybe they get like that after break-in period. Or the shrink wrap is a little more rubbery after heating them up, etc.

I don't think squishy is the actual condition of the packs.

No one said they result in bad performance. They just get a little squishy. Internal resistance is still very low.

Mine got squishy rather quickly. What do you think it's from though? Should be pretty normal then after some runs...

Powerlab8 shows all cells IR between 1.7-2.1. Thats between 4 packs with 40+ hard runs on them.

Has anyone tried the Turnigy Graphene version of these cells?
