      Wow!

I had problems with Zippy 4S 5000Mah 40-50C packs. One 4S pack was received with one bad cell and the replacement was worse. Finally I got a second replacement that works just fine. The other 2 packs I opened up and made a third 4S pack and a spare 2S pack. Lucky mine had the correct cells inside when I opened them up!

Thanks for the warning! I was using this brand just a month ago. I switched to zippy 40c and on 8 packs, i suspect one cell in one pack to be going bad. All my nano-tech are dead, or do not balance properly.

That'll be why nanos puff badly under reasonable loads. New golden rule- never trust a nano!

I had my fill in the past with 25-50c Nano's. I've run the old blue 25-35C Turnigy pack in 2P for my P-mono without fail, one pack puffed a little but, these are now 3 years old at least.
I used 4 packs of 3S 4500 25-50C for a total of 6S2P, 9000mah and they melted down (burnt up) in 3 laps in my Q mono. I tried a pair of 6S Dinogy's and no problem but, they puffed a little bit and still run fine.

I still have 3-4S packs of the the Nano 25-50C 4500, I just opened it up and it says 4500mah inside but, I won't use them since they sag in voltage more than the blue old packs do.

Recently, I bought 2 4S Zippy 40C-50C 5000mah packs. One pack is fine other had a bad cell, replaced very quickly from HK but, replacement was same, one bad cell. Just replaced again and this one is fine. Of the 2 packs with a bad cell each, I opened them up, took them apart and made a 2S and 4S pack. I've cycled the 4S pack and it is at storage level now with a balance off by only 0.005V like the good pack, now to run them and see how they do. Now, they are on sale for 25% off, go figure... :p

You guys should probably just go with Revo's and not look back :) I realized anytime I buy something cheaper-- I end up paying even buying a higher quality replacement + the cost of the original cheaper goods

I second Revo but my A-Spec nano's are still in good shape after 100 plus cycles.....I hope our Revo's were built according their labels...who knows?

After seeing this and my buddy telling me what he's been doing....makes me realize something.....

My buddy has be experimentally charging his batteries to higher voltages than what they are supposed to be charged at. He hasn't blown one yet. Then I've seen on a few different cells when you take the label off the mah rating is less that what the sticker says. So with that in mind, I'm sure that the lipos we are using do have a certain "safety margin" for charge voltage. Probably lessens the life of them I'm sure, but nevertheless it seems possible to get away with it.
