lipo battery very hot and swell

hi i have miss vegas duce converted here the set up

    3674 leopard 2200kv 4 pole
    hobbywing seeking 120v3 set up ( 1-forward ,2-4 cell , 3 no protection , 4 timing 3.75 )
    flex shaft 3/16
    octura x442 2 blade
    2 x 7.5 v 5000mh 45c lipo battery

i ran this boat but after 6 lap on course the motor temp(100 degree) esc (105-115 degree)
and the batteries hit in between (130-140 degree)
trying to figure out why the batteries are running hot

You could be running too long.
    What brand of battery?
    Also, what connectors?

Usually heat is generated most when battery voltage starts to drop. Try running 5 laps and see if they stay cooler.

Well, I think you may be pushing it on a series setup with that motor 6 laps.

But I could be wrong. Just my opinion

Are they in shrink wrap, or are they the hardcase packs?

Zippy packs are usually pretty good imo, but as Luck said it might just be a bit much. BTW Turnigy started making a 60c "heavy duty," pack, that I have ran very hard, another forum member has too and they're fantastic. Something to consider.

5000mah probably isn't enough to make 6 laps on a regular course. How much are you putting back into the lipos? I wouldn't go less than 7000mah. If you're racing you'll need to have enough for 7 - 8 laps, 1 start, 6 race and maybe 1 cool down or penalty.
