The seaking 180 amp esc i have has 6mm bullets on it, while my batteries have 5.5mm bullets on it. I either have to change both batteries to 6mm bullets or simply change the esc to 5.5mm bullets. Obviously 6mm bullets would be better, but is it even worth the extra effort? How large of a difference would it make running 4s with a 4074 2200kv +180 amp esc on a x642?

The merits of 6mm vs 5.5mm connectors are debatable, 5.5mm are a lot longer and offer quite a bit more contact area if you believe that there is more than just a thin ring at each end making contact (which is also debatable). That length that may well be beneficial in one way length is undesirable in another way, brass is a pretty poor conductor so adding more length of a brass connector is increasing resistance.
I don't think anyone has tested like for like 5.5mm vs 6mm new and after some use to give a definitive answer, but I suspect that for these two the quality of the connector will make a much bigger difference than the type of connector.
Personally I favour the 6mm, but 5.5mm seem to be by far the most popular connectors on this forum.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment

There are also some "newer" style bullets---I think they are 5.5mm ones that have a raised sections on their prongs. It basically renders any advantage back to zero as it reduces CONTACT AREA.
OSE's are pretty good, I find the CC ones a notch above although you can't buy VOLUME DISCOUNT as with the OSE's ones here.Too many boats, not enough time...Comment
