    Need some cheap quality lipos!

I need a pair of 2s lipos. All that I ask is that they are 5000mah+ and 40c+. I would prefer if they came with 5.5mm bullets on them, but if not, its no big deal. Will a cheap lipo make a huge difference when compared to an expensive one? I have only had one pair of lipos, so I cant really compare...

Depends on your perception of cheap.

If you want consistent quality and longevity, you have to at least settle for middle of the road prices. You don't have to spend on the higher priced names like Thunder Power(though they are great). If you want to invest in the best performance and longevity, my vote is with the Hyperion 45C that OSE sells, Dinogy, or Revolectrix. All are close to the same level IME, and prices are actually more middle of the road.

Yeah. Like something that is reliable. Nothing that will puff after like less than 5 runs

I've had no problem in sport running with zippy packs. I get the 5000mah 45c packs from hobbyking.

Puffing happens primarily from running them down too far, and most of us have learned this via experience unfortunately.

Great bang for the buck with these. I ran zippy's in 70+ mph boats.

Alright thanks guys. Yeah the lvc on the aquacraft 60 amp esc cuts off at 2.9 volts per cell, which is pretty low. That's what I was worried about puffing. I ordered a seaking 180 amp esc, what should I make the lvc at?

A few of us have been trying out the Zippy compact range lately. Although I've only had a few runs on mine, I'm pleased with their performance.
I've got 3s 4s 6s The 5800 & 6200 mah capacities are what we are trying out. I can't say how long they will last. Like kevin said. If you runn them too low they will start to fail quickly.
But here's a 2s pack that might suit you.

Same packs I was referring to. Glad to see I'm not the only one haha. No gps but I'm positive redemption has seen at least 70 with those packs

Most of us have also learned the hard way not to rely on any lvc, we get familiar with a setup by timing the runs so that the packs are somewhere around 3.7v/cell at the end. LVC's are unpredictable and sometimes problematic, some cut out premature etc. I would suggest you run the boat for 2 min at first, and see what the cell voltage is after, and make note of how much mah you put back in when charging.

Sorry to hijack, but for FE boats, is it better to run hardcase or softcase lipos??

I have read that you can run both, however the hardpacks can retain water and moisture when exposed to boat use. Soft packs are prefered as they are much easier to "air out"

There used to be a guy who's signature read "cheap, reliable, fast......pick two" Can't remember who that was.

I was corrected last week by a club member that told me there is a difference between "cheap" and "inexpensive"

I'll probably get beat up for saying so but the Revo cells are pretty inexpensive for what you get. Not to be confused with cheap.
