      hey what's up bro..
well I got one today and tried it out and it was working for a few minutes and then the screen kinda went south
the numbers are not showing up all the way and it does not seem to be balancing out my cells very good ??
I would love to have the balance feature to balance out my packs after a run

I also use the Hyperion. As do a lot of our club members. It is also a balancer too. Only the later version though. The earlier ones didn't balance. I have both & they read close enough to each other for me.
That Hitec one looks good. At least it shows all cells together. You have to scroll through each cell with the hyperion. Not a problem though.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

I like mine so far. Next time I make an ose order I'm going to get another to keep in a different box. I really like the balance feature, it gets them dead on with each other and the batts seems to charge faster because the charger isn't working so much to try and balance them.

So I got a new one yesterday from Hobbytown and still no luck with balancing 6s packs with this
but the screen is reading correctly and that is good, just not balancing out the cells ???
              oh well

Are any of the numbers flashing? How close are the voltages? If they are very close then it won't do anything. Try a different battery and try a less cell pack. (4s,3s,2s)

yep it's doing its thing but the balance gets worse vs not using it at all

That happens, it will try to bring down the high cell, in doing so it eventually brings down the rest of the cells as well, on both of mine it does a bit of that. The Great Planes one : http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXAEPR&P=SM is similar but I find it a tad more consistent. When that happens I charge it up beyond storage threshold and balance them again, PITA sometimes, but it is what it is.
Lately for kicks I have a couple from this site :http://dinogylipos.com/chargers/160-...e-2-3s-charger I like it a lot, it's a bit more expensive but has more detailed display and function.

Here's some comparisons. I trust the charger voltage most. It's directly in line with several other chargers I've had/have.

And this one is the worst lol

Well, I believe I have found the reason why my boats are slower, finally. lol......

They are all off, I have three Hyperion ones and they don't agree with each other. I gave up. But it is good that you showed these pictures, I will keep this in mind. Unfortunately my chargers are the Duratrax Ice Chargers, I bought four of them when they were letting go, I do like the manual on them but they don't have built-in balance ports. I use AstroFlight Lipo chargers to charge for 6s, so I rely on these balancers. I will have to use a multi meters to check the individual cells in the future.
                        Thanks!

P.S. Ever considered that last one just doesn't like the Revo packs??

Seriously, if you ever decide to upgrade chargers, the icharger line of chargers is the shiznit for the money spent. I sold my newer x4 hitec and bought another icharger 106. Those two charger I have charge faster than the 4 port hitec I had. And with more accuracy and higher voltage. Love them!

Yes, I am happy to hear that, and does it charge to higher than 4.2v

It will charge to 4.30v per cell at the moment. It's capable of more when they release a firmware update. Maybe the newest ones go higher, I haven't checked the one I got the other day. It looks a tad different and came with more stuff in the box than my original. You have to have a power supply for it, Neutronics (neu motors) sells a very nice little 23 amp power supply for like $45. It will run two of these chargers at once and not break a sweat.
