    Ever use hv AA batteries?

I can't seem to find a decently priced lifepo battery that will fit my transmitter so I ordered some hv (1.6v) aa batts. They are nickel zinc chemistry. Anyone ever try them?

    Here's regular alkaline batts

They aren't revolectrix btw so they should be legal at your local races. Lol

Haven't tried them, but thought about it, almost got them for my spektrum when I kept having issues. I ended up just getting a Futaba that uses a 11.1v lipo anyway.

Well I'm not ready to give in to futaba yet. I only have issues when the voltage goes below 6v

That is why I was considering them, I seemed to notice a significant difference when I used the higher voltage of fresh alkalines in my Spektrum, but that was a PITA. Especially considering Spektrum actually sells rechargeable 1.2v batts specifically for that radio. I still run spektrum in all my cars, as I'm more familiar with the system.

I'm pretty sure it would be even worse with 1.2v rechargeables in it! I wanted a battery pack but the lifepo I ordered was too long.
