Thunder Power Lightning 55C batteries. Anyone tried them?

Like the title states. Do any of you have experience with these packs? I am looking for a good set of 5S batteries for my Mean Machine. Only a couple manufactures make the dimensions I can squeak in there. Currently have Pulse and A spec Nanotechs. They stopped making the 4500 mah A specs and 4000mah is out of stock. I have not purchased TP packs because of their high cost, but the new Lightning series does not seem to badly priced and decent C rating.

    I am looking to buy 5S 4400mah. Current Setup is 1515 1Y 2200 KV, M445 prop, (2) 5S 4500 mah, running 71mph

I know there has been lots of talk that the newer TP packs are not performing like the older ones from a few years ago

Have you looked at the Revo line ?
they make some pretty good lipos that hold volts very well and have lots of punch to them

Yeah I just bought some Revo's after doing some more reading here on the forums. The only bummer is that I had to buy the 60C diamond version as the 70C silver version does not come in the size I need. I am squeezing (2) 5S 4400 mah batteries in and anything over 40mm tall is impossible on my boat. I have a Mean Machine BTW.

Is there a big difference in the Diamond and the Silver besides the C rating? I am kind of confused on the being able to charge at higher voltage deal. I don't know how to trick my charger into doing that just yet. I have a Hyperion 720 duo and a HitecX4.

Dan I would not worry about charging them over 4.2V per cell
they will do great at that voltage

Yes there is a difference, the 60c diamonds are NOT HV, BLEND420 as in 4.2v. Make sure what you're buying before charging them.
