Ok, I'm needing to have a little more flexibility with my batteries as in using different connectors. My question is, if I cut the leads really short at the battery and put 8mm connectors there, would it make much difference in power delivery and the value of the batts when I go to sell them? If I do this it allows me to swap connectors easily. Thoughts?
Would like some opinions....

8mm's are the way to go..................better amp delivery and less resistance. I lopped off my ESC and Motor wires on my 1717 setup in my 39" mono..............a total of 8" gone! Really wish I would have done some testing before and after for speedNEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Well it would have a 8mm connector right at the pack and then a pig tail with with castle green 6.5mm or ec5's depending on the boat I'm running32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

Is this a 2p setup? If so I run 5.5's off the batteries with parallel connectors which then go to 8mm to ESC. In my opinion you don't need 8mm off the packs.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

In that case 8mm would be good.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Hi Trav, my 0.02. Don't cut the pack leads any shorter than you need to. If you are thinking of making adapter leads to change between boats then leave a reasonable length on the packs and make some 5.5-8 mm connectors. Once you cut the leads short the only way to have longer leads again is to replace them. I don't think that with 4" long leads off the packs you will be losing much, making extension leads to fit other boats may cause extra resistance that you don't want. The packs should be able to deliver full capacity through the leads they came with.NZMPBA 2013, 2016 Open Electric Champion. NZMPBA 2016 P Offshore Champion.
