Using HV batts charged to 4.2V

    I'm looking at purchasing a set of Revoelectrix 5500mah 6SHV 22.8V 70C Lipos.

Are there any issues with charging the batteries to only 22.2V? I was looking at non HV batts, but they don't come in 5500mah and 70C.

There's no problem charging to only 4.2v. I'm doing that with my revos. Essentially because the cells are not charged to their max they should last longer. Also they will be working as 5000mah packs due to not being 'fully charged'. You will not be doing them any harm. KFX Guy did a bit of testing and found that charging to 4.27v didn't give a lot more top end performance. Have a read through the previous threads on revolectrix batteries as there was quite a bit of discussion and opinion. End of story they are good value batteries and there is even a 20% discount voucher code out there.

ive done lots of testing with these batteries, when charged to 4.27 volts i only pick up 1 mph on the first pass I make. But they hold voltage under load better than all the other batteries i tested. I love them.
