Doug.... I have a few things I want to throw out there....
1) i did post a label a while back when I received my first revo packs. It had 5000mah on it and 65c. It also had 3.7v. Well as we all know, these cells when charged to the extra voltage are actually 3.8v cells. I think the label was meant for if you use the cells in a non hv mode (in other words only charging to 4.20v) I'm no expert but just a little thinking about it tell me that. I could be wrong...won't be the first time lol.
2) do I think it's a 70c battery? Hmmm, I'm not sure but I can tell you they are by a good margin more powerful than any battery I've tested. I've proven that in my test thread and I also sold all of my other batteries and bought just revo's. That says something by itself.
3) there has not been any other person on here or anywhere else that I can recall that has knocked the revo batteries. No one I've seen has been dissapointed either. You are the only one I've seen complain about them but haven't posted any evidence, proof, examples, explanations. I'm actually interested in knowing what you've found with them....whether you've had one or more fail, puff or not last as long (as your other batteries) under your type of use. I'm really interested in you sharing that with us.
4) (not trying to take up for keith by any means, he isn't my most favorite person anyway) But I did contact him a while back and try to buy some revo batteries. He told me he does not push them or care to sell them because he doesn't really make money off them. He has some just for the customers that buy a boat from him and need batteries...therefore would not sell me any. Maybe he just doesnt like me, I dunno. But I think he just doesn't care about selling them.
In closing I want to be clear about a few things...
I'm not looking to argue about this by any means, I just feel very strongly about these batteries because they are truly an awesome bang for the buck and the budget guys like me are able to afford some truly awesome batteries. Is there better out there? I'm not sure as I haven't used anything better but I can't afford $120 each for a 3s pack when I can get one that's probably right in line power wise for like $68. Why buy turnigy or other cheap batteries when you can get these for almost the same price? Not everyone wants to spend $120 each on a battery to sport boat, ya know?
