What is the lowest temp to store Lipos..... Your thoughts?

    Fellas,

I have been getting mixed reviews in regards to the lowest temperature in Fahrenheit to store lipos in the winter. Just trying to get a gauge to ensure no damage is done while they are sitting. I wanted to put this out on the forum so everyone can sound off. I'm on the East Coast Mid Atlantic area so our temps range on average from a low of 15 degrees F to a high of 55-60 degrees F during the Winter months.

Keep in mind, I'm not asking about the safe "running" storage temp, I"m inquiring on the safe " sitting around in boat or bag" storage temps. Thanks fellas

    Sound off!!!!

I don't know Fahrenheit but I have a buddy that keeps his LiPos in a fridge at 9C, he accidentally turned it down and lowered the capacity of a bunch of packs inside, I don't know how cold it was but most fridges don't go far below freezing so I would recommend not dropping them down to the freezing point of water.

Thanks for the response..... 9 degrees C is 48 degrees F.

Why not keep the at 3.85v, room temp and cycle them once or twice a month? Seems to have worked for me with the venom packs I've had. Just an idea...

Deffinetly would not store at or below freezing, I don't think I'd go below 40 or so just to be safe.
