Best 3s Battery for Traxxas Spartan

I am looking for a pair of solid 3s batteries for my custom Spartan. I just bought it and it came with 3s 5300mah Gems Ace high C rating... would anyone mind giving me their opinion on some top notch batteries for longest run time and good performance and speed. Price doesn't matter... Thanks

I would recommend any set of batteries with 50c or higher. I have used SPC lipos with no problems. But if money were no object I would buy the MaxAmp lipos. They have a lifetime warranty and 120c discharge rating. Just my 2c. Hope this helps!

that lifetime warranty is very shallow....
in other words don't count on them replacing the packs if they go bad

a great way to get longer runtimes is smaller prop and or run 6s2p
if you can fit two 4000mah or bigger 6s packs and run them in parallel

Magnum lipos are my goto fast packs right now, and I am hearing awesome results with HV Revo packs !

Yeah I have a buddy who started using them with good results. Also have you had maxamp batteries before? How did they perform?

I got 4 Maxamps with my quad copter, which really only draws about 35 amps tops. A cell DIED in 1, and another puffed for no reason. Don't believe for a moment their C rating, and charge rate.
Maxamps sells a $45 battery for $90 and will repair, or replace them at, guess what,--- $45. Shallow confirmed

I wish they did perform at the level they cost and what the label says

Parrallel gives you more run time and amp, not voltage. Series gives you more voltage. As far as I know, most people run this boat in series. If you ran two 3s pack in parrallel in a spartan it would be quite slow.
