Generator Question

I just bought a Progressive RC combo, powerlab 8 and 1000 watt PS.
What size Generator makes sense? I have no knowledge on this topic but I would assume if I bought a 1000 watt compact generator I would have to run it at 100% of capacity to keep up with my 1000 watt MeanWell PS. Maybe a 1600 watt Generator? Im hoping to get a compact generator. I want something that I can handle without abusing what's left of my back. I also do not want to spend more than a grand if possible.

I have a 1000 generator it is easy on the back but light on power. As long as I don't charge at a high rate it keeps up well. 4s at 2c it will do all day. 10s at 2c won't keep up..

For your price point go for the Honda EU2000i. They are just shy of 50 pounds, but should serve you well.
