if i my 2 cell lipo with out a balancer will both cells charge.i was told you really dont need a balancer. any help will be appreciated. thanks

If you can afford a decent charger, get it. Also a decent charger should be able to charge different types of lipos like LifePo4 and etc. Ok, a balancer/ charger is necessary for safety and longer life of lipo. -
thanks.i have a 85 dollar charger.it charges 4 different batteries.nimh lipo nicd and somthing else. lol it has a balancer with it so i guess ill use the balancer. thanks.Comment

ok i just got this boat and i dont understand running batteries in series or paralel.how will the boat run if i just plug in the batteries and run the boat. i have 7.4 lipo 5000 mah 2 s 25 c batteries.Comment

What kind of charger are you using right now ? Picture or link to it would good.
It will be fine with the lipo's you have,
But you need to check the boat over good first.
Also you need to lube the flex shaft good,
Than when you run it in the water.
Run it for 1 minute and than take the hatch off and make sure there is no water getting in the hull of the boat,
If all is good run it for 3 minutes more and than bring it in.
Because the run is done for those packs.
Than charge them back up and see how many mah they take with that charge and right it down.Comment

so i only get about three minutes run time on these batteries. would i get longer run time on a nimh battery.Comment
