just out of couriosity im wondering what people are running and why. i have a stock revolt and have 6 turnigy 5600 mah 50-100c 2s2p packs and they seem to be about dead because last two times i ran them my boat hits the stock studder bump for the low voltage detection basiclly soon as it gets on plane the batteries did ok this summer as long as i run only 2 1/2 minutes. I was at the lhs and impulse bought a set of venom 5600mah 2s1p 60c packs and seemed to run my boat ok i ran them for 2 minutes today and have not seen how much they used though and was thinking of buying another set but not sure if thats the proper configuration
2s1p os 2s2p?

Revolt wants 4S, not 2S. So you should be running TWO 2S packs at a time hooked up in series, not just ONE 2S pack. Look at your manual.
As for your parallel question:

What the OP is asking is the difference between a 2 cell pack ( 7.4 v 2s Lipo) that is configured as 2s1p or 2s2p. I think he knows the Revolt needs 14.8v to get going.
To the OP: some time ago, when 5600Mah was considered super high capacity, and to achieve this, some Lipo manufacturers put two 2 cells in parallel to double up the capacity. I am not an expert, but I think there is no single two cell unit that comes as an individual unit/ cell, therefore in such a pack you have four individual one cells. Two groups of two cells parallel but within each of theses two groups they are connected in series to get to 7.4v.
2s1p is simple, you stack two cells in series to get 7.4 v. (3.7x2=7.4)
I would think that with technology advancing, more capacity is squeezed into cells everyday, the 2s1p is better, for one thing there will be less connections between each individual cells and less internal resistance, etc.
As I like to say, come morning I might be facing a firing squad.Too many boats, not enough time...Comment

Oh for cripes sake it's obvious what the guy is asking. Punctuation or not I can still answer him.
2s1p packs work fine.2s2p packs have more wiring and cells which is just more chance for trouble with the pack. Either will work tho. Venom packs aren't that great btwComment

I'm fully aware it needs two 2s packs. All Alley question was is there a difference between 2s1p and 2s2p where I should be buying one or the otherRevolt wants 4S, not 2S. So you should be running TWO 2S packs at a time hooked up in series, not just ONE 2S pack. Look at your manual.

Thank you that's the kind of answer I was looking for. I would like to know what makes the Venom packs not good? I was going to buy another matching set but if there not worth buying for a reason I don't want want to trouble down the roadmiss geico 29,revolt 30,villain ex,summit,scte,8ightComment
