    C question

I have a Motley Crue and lots of 4S batteries for my Revolt, my question is if I run two 4S 30C 4200mAh in parallel in my MC will I have 60C and increase my run time?

C rating is a coefficient to calculate constant available discharge rate. If you ran 2 4s batteries in parallel you would have a total capacity of 8400 mah or 8.4 amp hours. To calculate maximum constant discharge rate take total capacity in amp hours (8.4 in your case) and multiply it by the c rating of the cells (30). This gives you a constant discharge rate of 252 amps. An important note: c ratings are not always completely accurate and are more commonly used as a relative figure between batteries to distinguish quality. However, in your case I'm assuming you are talking about the grim racer batteries which I have found in my experience to have a true c rating and if any ambiguity exists I would say they may be slightly underrated.

As for run time the increase in capacity will increase run time as c rating shouldn't play a factor in that regard.

    Hope this helps,
    Jimmy

You will still have 30C, but you will double the current your battery can put out as would now be capable of 30 x 8.4Ah = 252A as opposed to 30 x 4.2Ah = 126A, you will increase your runtime.
