    Parallel charging question

ok I have a question about parallel charging, If I have a charger that can charge 4 packs at the same time through a parallel board, do the batteries have to be at the same level in order to charge them together? For example if I have 2 packs that are at a 50% charge and 2 that are at a 75% charge and I put them all on the charger in parallel how does that work? wouldnt it over charge the 2 packs that were at 75% or would it under charge the packs that were at 50% ? Im confused about how it works. Please help, thanks

Mark, It doesn't work like that. When connected in parallel it's like charging a single pack. Now in theory it should't matter if one battery has more charge then another, however it's best to have them relatively close to the same voltage.

I was wondering how the charger would know all cells are charged where they're supposed to be. I was at Larry's RC today and the question was brought up and I never really gave it much thought but the more I was thinking the more I confused myself lol.
