    Trouble getting lipo to balance

Having trouble with this new turnigy nano tech 3s 5000mah it's only 2 maybe 3 months old and hasn't been below 3.5v and yet when I charge it gets each cell up to 4.19/4.2 (normal 1C charge) and then that's it, might put another 30mah in an hour after it gets the cells up to 4.19/4.2 just won't finish the charge but my other 3 batteries bought same time are fine. The batts are being run in series in my boat and they charge fine. Ideas on what's going on please.

This is why I quit using Turnigy lipos...

Some people swear by them, but I have had too many arrive DOA, or have a cell die within a week, or have had endless balancing problems.

I now have over 20 hyperion packs, many of them are over 3 years old and going strong, never once had a problem with them, and they all balance in seconds. I am pretty sure I have saved money over the long run buying high quality packs since they last so long.

The cells are considered balanced if they are within 0.02 volts of each other. Most of my balancers shut down when the cells are that close. There is nothing wrong with your cells - at least not that can be told from the charge info.

I have the 4s pack and some times have this problem but run them and charge next time you may find them back to 100 % I haven't found any loss of performance from this. Just think they like a full charge not short amounts
