    Battery transportation

Guys. After years if buying battery's , I have a nice collection now. And since my boats range from 2s to 6s I need to bring a lot of battery's with me to the lake. My question is what do you guys use to store battery's in and what do you use for transportation to and from the lake. Any suggestions would be a big help.

    Thx
    Alen

One of the best things to use is old surpluss ammo boxes. You can get em at army surpluss stores and they were made to safely transport live ammo so they are a good choice for lipos.

      +1 on the ammo boxes.
I store them in the boxes, the boxes are placed in the fireplace.
Depending how many batteries I am bringing along to the lake, sometimes I store them in the lipo charge bag.
BTW, I take the rubber weather seal down from the lid of the boxes, to prevent in the event that there is gas build up, there will be an escape. I remember reading that subject on the Forum, don't know if anyone else does it? Like to know.

Ammo cans for me too(50 cal size ones). I cut most of the rubber seal and left it in on the latch side so it latches tight but gas can still escape if ever there was a issue.

I've wondered what others do. I've figured so far that if they come to me in a bubblewrap bag and cardboard box that I'll continue with this, it has worked so far ok! A purpose made box with compartments would be cool...still thinking on how I might do that!

In a cardboard box on the front passenger seat.

At home they sit on a shelf in the garage.

I use an ammo box at home as well.

I've seen some nice cases that people use. Foam on the inside. Metal outside.

QUESTION: After running the last race on Sunday, all my cells in the batts are at about 3.80V. Should I just leave them at this voltage for storage??

That is about where I store my batteries at. 3.85v peer cell. Usually toss em on my TP 820 and run them through storage mode.

Cheap cases for me from Harbor Freight. This was a few days ago from the airfield. Nothing special. Used on the right in the smaller case. Charged on the left.
