    Battery question

Would anything happen to my motor or esc if I ran a 20/30 lipo on an 1800 kv motor with an 80 esc?

Well the stock esc is rated at 60 amps so, the 80 amp ESC should handle all the stock stuff, no problem. The batteries will be fine.

The v2 came with the 80, I had an issue with it on the first day I dropped in. The motor caught fire and I had to send it back to horizon. They said it was a faulty motor. I just want to make sure when I put those back in it don't flame up on me again. I know they said faulty motor I just wanna ask around myself. Sometimes I think these companies will just tell you anything. If there is a battery issue would it damage the esc first?

those batteries should put out 100amps constant and 150amp bursts at 14.8 volts

a good rule of thumb is: if you keep your electronics at less than 80% of their capability, you should be safe.

We've all had stuff come bad from the factory, it happens. Have fun, don't worry.

Time for my education, I don't have to any brushless RC s. what does that mean? How do you come up with those numbers? I usually run nitro and gas cars

ok a battery has a certain amount of energy it can store( mah ) and how fast it can be safely discharged (c rating) re; 5000mah x 20c =100 amps.....5000 x .20 =100

you have a 80amp esc and have 100amps of battery power= so the esc is using at 80% of the batteries capability
