    Who makes these???

Trying to find a source for the battery lead end caps in the attached pic. They are really nice, heavy wall but very flexible. If anyone knows who makes these please let me know.

I don't know who makes them but I just bought some excellent caps last week from teddyboy. . . silicon, heavy walled, flexible. Check out his post entitled Battery terminal Caps.

Thanks for the link, I'll consider those if I can't find the ones pictured which is what I'd prefer.

Try getting some 3/16 surgical tubing at your local hardware store... It's not capped but you can purchase it by the foot and it will fit over 5.5's very easy...

        Later,

Never thought of that, great idea. The caps are nice and neat too, I have used heat shrink tube to make my own, they do the job, but is not pretty.DSCN3211_3437.jpg

Don if you can't find the Silicon caps, you can buy the vinyl ones cheap from Mcmaster-Carr About 100 for $5. The 5/16-3/8" x 3/4" are good for 5.5-6mm bullets

McMaster-Carr is the complete source for your plant with over 595,000 products. 98% of products ordered ship from stock and deliver same or next day.

Tough day at the Capitol pond today. We had a good turnout but the winds were gusting to 30 knots. We did some parking lot bench racing for an hour and that was about it.

I appreciate all the alternatives but I'm still hoping to find the ones pictured, they are really nice!

If you add about 5 layers or more heat shrink to the female battery plug, the only way they can touch is if you try to plug them into each other directly.

Be shure as you add you 4th, 5th and possibly 6th layer to overhang it from the connectors edge.

I gave up on caps a year ago after looking at some friends stuff at races. I think I got the idea from John E (aka Doby).

Now I never have to chase little caps all over that get lost easy.

                Thanks John!!
