Lipo or not to Lipo! that is the Question!!!

    Right then Ladies and Gents!
    I recently pruchased a Lipo Battery ( GE POWER Li-Po 7.4v 1280mAh 20c Airsoft Battery Nunchuck [Double Pack] )
and i know it is meant to Service a helicopter but i was wondering could this be used for my build? Also it has a mini tamiya connection, can it be adapted to the larger Tamiya connection? and Finally! ....honest...... can i use any tamiya charger to charge a lipo battery or do i need to buy a specific charger?
Any help on this would be awesome?

You need a lipo specific charger!! Don't plug it in to anything else or you will have your self a nice little fire. Lipo's are great but you need to know how to deal with them. Lots of good reading in the forum or through google.

IMO you should swich to Lipos for sure. Way better performance, speed etc...

If you like to get one of most popular lipo chargers than here is one:

              http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...=emp-EOS720DUO

also need 12V power supply for it like this one:

              http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...p-sk-200011-02

Now if you plan to charge only few lipos without going to crazy, lets say 1S to 6S than please have a look at the $100.00 charging combo I have for sale here:

              http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...r-Supply-Combo

This will also perfectly work with your NiCd and NiMh batteries.....

Let me know if you have more quastions....

              Cheers

              Robert
