    Battery/ Charger needs/wants HELP PLEASE!!!!!

I have read a million posts it seems and I'm more confused now than before. All the math is the biggest reason I chose mechanical engineering rather than electrical.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
If I understand correctly the higher the mAh the longer I can run. The higher the C the faster I can run for longer periods. So, if I have a boat motor of 4 pole and 3200kv, a 40 amp ESC what would you recommend? The manufacturer says 3S, 1500-2200 mAh, and 20-25C.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yes, while I have your attention, what charger/ balancer would you also recommend?
    Thanks again.

    Mr Scott,

without re-hashing all the posts.... C rating is your safe discharge or charge rate. 15C discharge rating means 15 times your battery capacity in AmpHour or Ah. So a 1500mah pack (1.5 Ah) can be discharged at roughly 15 (C)X 1.5 (Ah) = 22.5 Amps

Most packs have a continuous and a peak (10-15 sec burst) C ratings as well as a charge C rating (usually between 1-5 C) Assume 1 if not stated.... There is so much more....

    see here http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/inf...attery-101.php

But read read and read more about them if you have concerns or not a clear undersanding.... They are great but run the risk of if mistakes are made (and even if no mistakes are made) So precautions should be taken

ps - you went mechanical to avoid math? What about thermo and Diff E.Q.? And materials.... I went civil to avoid all the math....woops, LOL !!!
