For fully discharged packs, it takes me about 1.5 hours.

What do you consider a fully discharged pack? How low do you take the voltage after a run? I haven't been taking mine any lower then about 3.6v

What do you do to "manually balance" your lipos?

I also have the Hyperion Duo 3 charger like the Chief has. And I also parallel charge 2 packs on each channel at the same time. Mainly 4s 5000mah packs. I set the charge rate of each channel to 10A so each pack is being charged at 1C. It is essential that the balance taps are paralleled as well. And it is best to connect the taps AFTER the main power leads have been connected so that the main leads take the surge as the packs equalise any voltage which can create a current flow.
There is no way that two paralleled cells can end up with a different voltage. Each cell will be the same as its mate. Packs can be of different capacity, different C rating & different states of charge when connected but they will equalise during the charge. BUT they must always be of the same cell count.
The balancing part of the charge is much easier on the charger too as it sees a much lower resistance to push those last few hundred milliamps into the cells during balancing.
I have always & always will parallel charge.
I do, however, charge the packs individually every 10 cycles or so to get a reading on the internal resistance of each cell to see how they are going.

This is worth reading. Especialy the section with the photo of all the different shaped & sized pipes filled with liquid.

          Cheers.
          Paul.

For a good and cheap power supply go to http://www.feathermerchantrc.com/

Couple a 24v 47a pnp power supply with a powerlab 6 with a parallel board and you will be set forever.

My charger has a "balance" mode (just checks and balances, does not do a main charge), so I took each of my packs that were parallel charged together, and then individually ran them on "balance" mode. Took a few seconds per pack (because they were all perfectly balanced to begin with!)

Ah good to know - I will have to pick one up as my 306b doesn't have a balance only option. The EOS Centry will balance cells? Kintec has it but there isn't much info on it...
                Thanks

I would like to find one or more of the electrifly units.. where is the best place to order one? Haven't seen them on any of the standard sites I use.
