    Battery questions

    Hi All,

I have what I believe to be an Aquacraft Top Speed 2 that my brother in law gave me and wanted to get some insight here.
It's been a little over 20 years since I've been into RC equipment, and I know a LOT has changed since then.
I know the boat has a 550 electric outboard motor and some kind of speed controller. The only things the boat needs in order to run are a radio and battery.
So that brings my question. What size / voltage battery do I want to use here?
Thanks in advance for the guidance!

    Chris

A 4s 5000 mah at least 30C lipo will work well in that boat

      Thanks, Jim!

Would you mind giving me a quick "Batteries for Dummies" lesson, here?
What's the S rating? Is that directly related to the voltage?
      What's the C rating?
The rest I know, as far as the mah and type (lipo vs nimh)

S+ the number of lipo cells in the battery pack
C Rating the higher the c rating the higher amps the pack can handle
