6s 5200 mah 45c-85c high discharge to much for 180 turnigy esc

    Hello,

I am new to the fast electric boating world. Just picked a nice cat, turnigy 1600kv, turnigy 180 esc. Was wondering if running 2-3s 5200 45c-85c packs will fry my esc, it probably a stupid question. But I always ask first for advice.
    Thanks

The only variable that is in question is your motor size versus hull size. You batteries will never be too much for any ESC amperage-wise. Only drawing too many amps for the ESC will "fry" it. You could use 10,000 mah 90c's as an example, only a motor drawing more than 180a constant will blow it..............but you need to stay at 150 or less for safety room.

is a 30 inch hull, not really sure what the motor draws amp wise.

I am running seaking 180 w/ 2 5000 mah Dynogy 6s in parallel, Cnc 4514 prop. Pulling 132 max amps at 30,000 rpm. Still think hull is running a little wet, planning on moving batteries Back 1/2" for next run.
